The Arts Alliance recently held a launch party introducing their new website, a3arts.org, connecting to the Ann Arbor Area Arts Community. The Arts Alliance supports efforts to increase participation in arts and cultural activities and strengthen the Ann Arbor Area culture community and organizations that provide these programs.
Celeste Choate, Associate Director of Services, Collections and Access, for the Ann Arbor District Library recently spoke at the Ann Arbor Chamber’s Ambassador meeting about the services the Library provides for businesses. Many of the meeting’s attendees were shocked to learn about all of the services, events and classes the AADL offers.

The U.S. Small Business Administration (SBA) recently announced the winners of its 2010 Michigan Small Business Awards. The Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti Area Chambers were represented very well, winning three of the nine awards.
The Rotary Clubs of Ann Arbor, Dexter, Saline and Ypsilanti have invited the community to join them in participating in a Spring Canned Food Drive. The Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce is proud to be one of the drop-off locations for the Rotate Your Food Spring Canned Food Drive.

In light of their historic merger, the Ann Arbor and Ypsilanti Area Chambers of Commerce are seeking a new logo design. This new logo should capture the spirit of this collaborative undertaking.
Zingerman’s may be best known for their world famous Deli located downtown in Kerrytown. Many people, even townies, are surprised to learn that there are nine, that’s right – 9, separate businesses. The Zingerman’s Community of Businesses (ZCoB) is “a family of small food related companies in the Ann Arbor area. Each is operated by one or more managing partners who share ownership and work in the day-to-day running of the business.â€
Saturday, February 6 is the first ever Winter Warrior event, organized by the Main Street Area Association, from 12pm – 6pm, downtown Ann Arbor. Winter Warrior is a community event meant to encourage people to get outside and come downtown when the cold weather may not be so inviting.
