About the 2008 - 2009 Leadership Ann Arbor Program
The Ann Arbor Area Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Ann Arbor program provides a foundation for the development of a sustainable, vital community whose vision is based on an informed and committed business community.
During the informative and enlightening eight-month course, the class members develop a broad appreciation of the unique quality of life in the Ann Arbor area and an understanding of the complex issues they face as stewards of the community.
The well respected Leadership Ann Arbor program is about effective and responsible citizenship. The program provides a foundation for the development of a sustainable, vital community whose vision is based upon an informed and committed business community.
The 2008-09 class begins in September with Orientation, followed by the Retreat (October 15 - 17) and continues with monthly class days from November through June. Click here to see the class schedule. The participants evaluate and improve their leadership skills, learn about the substantive issues affecting Ann Arbor and the organizations dealing with these issues. They meet the people that are making decisions about the city and county infrastructure, executives of the largest employers in the area, and heads of non-profit organizations that supply many of the social services and cultural needs of Ann Arbor.

Leadership Ann Arbor requires commitment, prioritization and dedication. Each participant is required to attend every session from the orientation and over-night retreat to the monthly class sessions. If a class member is absent in excess of two (2) sessions, they forfeit their eligibility to graduate.
